MERCY STREET, the much-acclaimed Civil War-era drama set in the occupied city of Alexandria, Virginia, will return to PBS stations for a second season on January 22 2017, at 8:00 p.m. ET (check local listings). In addition to returning theatre stars Josh Radnor, Donna Murphy, Norbert Leo Butz, Gary Cole, and more, the new season will welcome two faces familiar to Broadway fans, Tony-winner Patina Miller and Tony-nominee Bryce Pinkham.

Shattered Globe Theatre will conclude its 2016-17 Season with the Chicago premiere of Sarah Ruhl's FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70th BIRTHDAY, written for her mother Kathleen, a Chicago actress who played Peter Pan onstage as a teenager. Directed by Jessica Thebus, the production will feature Kathleen Ruhl, surrounded by the Shattered Globe Ensemble. Marking playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney's Kansas City debut, The Brothers Size is a lyrical tale of brotherly love, pulsing with the rhythms of the Louisiana bayou. When younger brother Oshoosi Size struggles to restart his life after leaving prison, he reaches out for help from his older brother Ogun. This modern tale explores West African Yoruba myth in a striking production that engages the audience as witness and judge. This drama contains strong language and mature subject matter as well as flights of poetry, music and dance in an exploration of freedom and the need to belong.
