PTP/NYC kicked off its 28th anniversary season at The Atlantic Stage 2 on July 16 at The Maritime Hotel in NYC. This season's Off-Broadway line-up includes the U.S. Premiere of Howard Barker's Gertrude - The Cry, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli, and a revival of David Edgar's Pentecost, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Cheryl Faraone. The opening night party guests included five-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Jan Maxwell, Kristine Nielsen (Broadway: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Jennifer Van Dyck (Broadway: Hedda Gabler, Dancing at Lughnasa and Two Shakespearean Actors), Quentin Mare (Broadway: Rock 'n' Roll, Coram Boy, Julius Caesar) and Stephanie Janssen (Broadway: Mrs. Warren's Profession).
