Japanese Breakfast's Michelle Zauner has signed a book deal for her memoir, Crying in H Mart, with Knopf. Crying in H Mart is Zauner's story about growing up Korean-American, losing her mother too young, searching for identity in a hybrid culture, and finding a passion for her ancestry and Korean cooking as a way to heal and return to her roots in the wake of loss. Her writing has previously appeared in The New Yorker and Glamour Magazine.

Case Western Reserve/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program Offers A Witty, Bubbly Production Of HAY FEVER

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to present Noel Coward's classic comedy Hay Fever. This madcap play about a weekend with the eccentric Bliss family will star the MFA Class of 2020 and a guest performer.  Director Jerrold Scott's production will take the audience back to the 1920's and remind them of the joy of life and fear of boredom. The show will run from February 27th-March 9th in Helen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

Sam, to develop both scripted and unscripted series inspired by her fight to change the culture of degradation, humiliation and unfair sentencing that surrounds female incarceration. Recently Topeka, who is the Founder and Executive Director of The Ladies of Hope Ministries, made headlines and garnered national attention after creating the video that went viral around the story of Alice Marie Johnson, and which inspired Kim Kardashian West to help secure clemency for Johnson after a visit to the White House.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to begin their season with a modern reimagining of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. Chekhov's classic play about artistic rebellion, translated by Paul Schmidt, will star the MFA Class of 2020 and guests. Director Sarah Wansley's staging will shed light on the show's poetic realism. Press opening will be on October 9th at the Helen Theatre in Playhouse Square and the show will run from October 10th-October 20th.
