usical theatre company Angelwalk Theatre re-launches with Any Dream Will Do: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber which runs Thursday March 30 to Saturday April 1 at 8pm nightly in the brand-new Lyric Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. Any Dream Will Do: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber is conceived by Adrian Marchuk with musical direction and arrangements by Chris Tsujiuchi. It stars Adrian Marchuk, Samantha Hill, Kelly Holiff and Matt Nethersole.

From Beethoven and Brahms to Mahler, Mendelssohn, and Mozart, the month of April at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) brings a myriad of masterworks.

Twenty Chicago high school students will once again compete in the finals of the August Wilson Monologue Competition for a chance to represent Chicago in the National Competition at the August Wilson Theatre in New York City.  Hundreds of students competed across the city in preliminary rounds. The finals will be held at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn St on Monday, March 6, 2017 at6:00 pm. The August Wilson Monologue Competition is free and open to the public.

The innovative educational program that launched last year at Hamilton on Broadway, in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, will debut in Chicago today, February 22, when 1,900 students and teachers from 30 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) attend the matinee performance of the musical at Broadway In Chicago's The PrivateBank Theatre (18 W. Monroe Street).

The innovative educational program that launched last year at Hamilton on Broadway, in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, will debut in Chicago on February 22 when 1,900 students and teachers from 30 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) attend the matinee performance of the musical at Broadway In Chicago's The PrivateBank Theatre (18 W. Monroe Street).

Following a two-year hiatus, Angelwalk Theatre is pleased to announce that it is re-launching in 2017, with a mandate to continue producing musical theatre. The company will once again be in residence at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, its home since inception in 2009.

With two visiting orchestras, classical landmarks by Haydn, Beethoven, and Schumann, high-status guest artists, two World Premieres, and the continuation of the films with live orchestra series, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) offers heart-warming music for the cold month of February. As part of the TSO's Canada Mosaic project, audiences will be treated on several occasions to new, brief orchestral works called Sesquies, to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.

Michael Matus & George Rae will play Dionysos and Xanthias in the UK premiere of the latest Broadway version of the rarely performed musical, an hilarious send up of Greek comedy and satire, with a book revised and expanded by Nathan Lane.

The Rudes. They're like the cast of Star Wars or Star Trek, iconic and revered in that way that Trekkers love Leonard Nimoy or George Takei, but for Austin and its avid theatre going Rude fans, well, that, and their collaborative works with others from Helsinki to Cedar Rapids. And their current production, REQUIEM FOR TESLA, is, in its third incarnation, like a Star Trek reboot. While other theatres around town dust off the usual December holiday fare, The Rude Mechanicals, never to be usual, have resurrected REQUIEM FOR TESLA in celebration of their 20th anniversary season. It's obvious they've been around and drummed up an enthusiastic fan base. (Full disclosure: I'm one of them). On opening night for this particular production, one ebullient fan behind us waxed poetic to total strangers about each and every Rude production he'd seen (many of which I've seen myself) including the 2001 and 2003 iterations of REQUIEM FOR TESLA.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) joins forces with Chicago Youth Shakespeare (CYS) to engage 350 high school students from 40 public, private and parochial schools across the region in the first annual Battle of the Bard (BOTB)-inaugurated as part of the yearlong Shakespeare 400 Chicago.

Garfield Weston Foundation, and the celebrated concert pianist Jon Kimura Parker will be named Honorary Fellows of The Royal Conservatory at the organization's signature fundraising event, The Royal Occasion, on May 12, 2016. The Honorary Fellowship is the highest designation conferred by The Royal Conservatory.

The TSO then presents Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz, and welcomes back Canadian soprano Barbara Hannigan for a second time this season.
