As previously announced, the acclaimed Second Act Series, which has presented an array of lesser-known musicals in concert, will present the short-lived Charles Strouse tuner Dance A Little Closer this spring at New York's Green Room 42 on Monday, April 16th at 7:00pm.

Broadway's newest intimate concert venue – has announced the solo debut of Mykal Kilgore, the celebrated vocalist from The Wiz Live! on NBC TV, Postmodern Jukebox, Motown on Broadway and more, for a two night concert engagement Friday, March 9 at 9:30 PM and Saturday, March 10 at 7:00 PM. These shows will feature original music from Mykal's upcoming album and covers of some of music's most heralded pop favorites with a Kilgore twist. After performances for “The View,” the Mayor of New York, and Brooklyn Nets, these live intimate shows powerfully return Kilgore to the concert stage.

The one-night-only concert reading will star Drama Desk Award-winner Ed Dixon (Georgie, Sunday In The Park With George, Les Miserables) in the role created by his lifelong friend and colleague George Rose. Three-time Tony Award-winning composer Charles Strouse will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of his memoir, Put On A Happy Face, following the Monday, April 16th performance.

Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, present the hilarious and interactive musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, performing on the Waxlax Stage from January 16 February 4, 2018. The world premiere of The Roses in June, a new play written by Timothy M. Kolman, will make its debut in Philadelphia on June 14, 2017 and run through July 1, 2017 at Plays & Players Theatre, 1714 Delancey Place, Philadelphia, PA. The play tackles two difficult subjects through the lives of The Rose Family fleeing Nazi Germany during the Holocaust and escaping to what they hoped would be a better life in London. There is the life-long fear associated with being a refugee and the anguish of bullying and anti-Semitism since their son Paul was a victim of this, even after moving to London. With striking resemblance to contemporary times, Kolman brings the audience face to face with the past, but in frightening reality with the present.

Elliot Martin, renowned Broadway producer and Tony Award winner passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21st, in Connecticut, surrounded by his family. He was 93.

At closing, Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose will have played 8 preview and 54 regular performances. A national tour is planned for later this summer.
