BIG BLOCK ENTERTAINMENT (Heathers: The Musical), a television, film, live entertainment and design production company led by Scott Benson, Tony Award-winning producer Jamie Bendell (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) and Tony Award-nominated producer Scott Prisand (Rock of Ages), announced today they have optioned the play A FAMILY THING, written by Peabody Award nominee and Emmy Award nominee Gary Lennon ("Orange Is The New Black"), for a Broadway run in 2015. Complete team, dates and cast to be announced at a later date.

Angry at the male species, she becomes increasingly frantic as she searches for love in the dating jungle of New York City. Will she ever find the man of her dreams? An animal rights activist in Brooklyn searches for love in the dating jungle of New York City. Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore on Broadway, for the RSC and at the Taper) will direct the West Coast premiere of Dates and Nuts, a romantic comedy by Gary Lennon (Orange is the New Black for Netflix, Echo Theater Company's A Family Thing). Opening night is set for May 31 at the Bootleg Theater.

In addition to previously announced honoree Alexander Payne and Cannes Best Actor award winner Bruce Dern, Academy Award-nominated actor Terence Stamp (The Limey, Billy Budd) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award and actress Natalie Dormer ('Game of Thrones') will receive the Discovery Award as part of the 16th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place from today, October 26th to November 2nd. Alec Baldwin, Miles Teller and James Toback are among the special guests attending the festival.
