Opening Night festivities include San Francisco Opera Guild's Opera Ball, BRAVO! The Israeli Opera presents 'Lucia di Lammermoor' by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, conducted by Daniele Callegari, directed by Javier Ulacia according to the direction of the Israeli Opera's 2012 production by Emilio Sagi and performed by international and Israeli soloists, The Opera Orchestra - The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion and The Israeli Opera Chorus conducted by Ethan Schmeisser who will also alternate as the opera's conductor.

For an Opera that is described as dark, intense and ruthless and its plot is filled with murder, betrayal, insanity and death, at its end it might become even more tragic, as expected, but in Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor the journey through all that has many beautiful and captivating moments, especially in this revival of the Israeli Opera's 2012 production, originally directed by Emilio Sagi as the revival director is Javier Ulacia.

Starring an internationally renowned cast including Michael Fabiano, Ana María Martínez, Mariusz Kwiecie? and René Pape, Don Carlo is directed by Emilio Sagi and conducted by Company Music Director Nicola Luisotti. Opening on June 14, Leoš Janá?ek's riveting Jen?fa completes the summer opera season. Last presented by the Company in 2001, Jen?fa returns in an Olivier Tambosi production conducted by Ji?í B?lohlávek and featuring legendary Finnish soprano Karita Mattila, Malin Byström, William Burden and Scott Quinn.
