Rehearsals began this week in Atlanta, GA, for the Alliance Theatre's production of HARMONY – A NEW MUSICAL with music by Barry Manilow and book & lyrics by Bruce Sussman. HARMONY tells the true story of The Comedian Harmonists, a close harmony ensemble of six young men in 1930s Germany, who took the world by storm until their religious composition – a mixture of Jews and Gentiles – put them on a collision course with history. A number of program changes and additions have been made to the performances, screenings, and events presented by Great Performers and the White Light Festival at Lincoln Center this season. Below is a final schedule of events for both series through June 4, 2013.

InterAct Theatre Company and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) today announce their joint presentation of the First Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed tonight, July 29th-31st 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. Following sold-out performances in a dozen other cities, this festival serves as the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between the two companies after engaging in community and consensus building workshop sessions with local artists since August of 2012.

Luminato Festival will host the Canadian premiere of the Mark Morris Dance Group's iconic L'ALLEGRO, IL PENSEROSO ED IL MODERATO. The performances will run from today, June 21-23 at the Sony Centre For The Performing Arts, as part of the 7th Annual Luminato Festival.

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the roster for Lincoln Center's fourth multidisciplinary White Light Festival, October 24 through November 23, 2013. The Festival's focus is music's capacity to illuminate the many dimensions of our interior lives, with a particular emphasis this year on the power of the voice. Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 23 performances, films, and events featuring seven premieres and debuts by artists and companies from more than a dozen countries, including France, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Mali, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Canada and the U.S. New to this edition of the Festival is White Light on Film, film screenings followed by discussions with their directors. Other Festival components include: a panel discussion focused on the subject of time, pre- and post-performance artist discussions, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges.

Actors Barry Primus and Doris Roberts and Oscar-nominated sound mixers Jim Webb and Theodore Soderberg will join director Mark Rydell in the onstage discussion following the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 30th anniversary screening of 'The Rose' on Friday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Los Angeles Times film critic Betsy Sharkey will host the evening. Oscar-nominated actress Bette Midler was originally scheduled to participate in the event, but has had to cancel for personal reasons. Instead, she will provide a special video message dedicated to the cast, crew and fans of the film.
