Inspired by the beloved films, the romantic and adventure-filled new musical ANASTASIA, is on its way to the Van Wezel in this Sarasota premiere from Friday, March 18 to Sunday, March 20.

Olney Theatre Center is extending the run of A.D. 16 (book by Bekah Brunstetter, music and lyrics by Cinco Paul, directed by Stephen Brackett) through March 20, 2022.

A.D. 16 is an exuberant, ambitious world premiere with its eyes on Broadway; music and lyrics by Cinco Paul (Despicable Me, Schmigadoon!), book by Bekah Brunstetter (This Is Us) and direction by Stephen Brackett (Be More Chill). A.D. 16 starts with the missing teen years of Jesus, layers in an effervescent R&B-influenced score, and sprinkles in some irreverence and anachronistic humor.

Anyone that has read my reviews or columns over the years knows that I always pay attention to the orchestrations and orchestrator of any given musical. Let’s face it, without the orchestrator, the score is only a piano. Showtime Productions Inc. has announced that Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will play in Winnipeg at the Centennial Concert  hall, June 7-12, 2022. 

The Minnesota premiere of ANASTASIA, the new Broadway musical, opens for two weeks at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) and runs through Sunday, 19, 2021.

State Theatre New Jersey presents ANASTASIA - The New Broadway Musical on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 8pm; Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1pm. Tickets range from $40-$98.
