After two sold-out seasons in Cape Town, The Good, The Bad and The Fugly is headed for their first ever performances in Somerset West. Inspired by true South African stories that seem too ridiculous to be true, The Good, The Bad and The Fugly is a musical comedy which explores social interactions behind the safety of our screens. Three women, three social media accounts and three times the drama. A tongue-in-cheek musical comedy exposing all the hilarious consequences of online personas, strong opinions and bad behaviour. This production showcases the good, the bad and the downright ugly and gives us all an opportunity to laugh at ourselves. La Jolla Music Society, one of the West Coast's foremost performing arts institutions, has announced the launch of its greatly-anticipated, cutting edge new home, The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center (The Conrad), with three illustrious opening-weekend concerts. Variety reports that actress Heather Menzies-Urich, known for portraying Louisa von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound of Music, died at age 68 following a recent diagnosis with cancer. Her son Ryan Urich said that his mother died on Christmas Eve, surrounded by her family.

The Cape Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Debbie Turner, returns to Cape Town's Artscape Theatre in November 2017 with INTERPLAY. After a successful season at the National Arts Festival, the company is delighted to present this season comprising two programmes of works that reflect the diversity of the company and its broad repertoire.

LACED, performed by Lee van der Merwe and Jared Musiker, will play a four-performance season at the Alexander Bar's Upstairs Theatre next week. The new theatre piece has been created by Lee van der Merwe and is directed by Michael Kirch.

The Cape Dance Company's season of SACREDSPACE will close this weekend, with the classical-contemporary company's annual Artscape season having opened on 3 December. Under the artistic direction of Debbie Turner, this season follows highly successful runs at the Klein Karoo Arts Festival, the National Arts Festival's Main Programme and the Joburg Theatre.

Chris Alloways-Ramsey began his early training with Barbara (Olewine) Wouters, later completing his classical training with Mira Popovich and Dame Sonia Arova. He attended summer programs on full merit scholarships at Kirov Academy, School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet Academy, and San Francisco Ballet. Her graduated from high school at North Carolina School of the Arts with a focus in Ballet and received his A.L.B, cum laude, from Harvard University in 2003.
