BroadwayWorld.com is proud once again to announce the nominations for the BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards, Chicago's only comprehensive, fan-voted theater awards, now in our 5th fantastic year.

Legally Blonde the Musical, a singing, dancing comedic trip to Harvard University, beauty salons, and sorority girls and, of course, true love, opens tonight, Oct 4, 2014, at Prairie Lakes Theatre, 515 E Thacker, Des Plaines. The show marks the 13th season of shows produced by Big Noise Theatre in Des Plaines.

Josh Walker, a cast member of the upcoming Broadway revival of Side Show and its recent Kennedy Center staging, has written a new musical about Post-Impressionistic French painter Henri de Toulouse Lautrec and the Moulin Rouge. Toulouse: A New Musical has a score composed by Walker, with a book by John David Nelson, and lyrics by both Walker and Nelson. A workshop is currently taking place in Chicago with presentations scheduled for this weekend, August 29 - 31, 2014. Walker will also play the title role of Toulouse Lautrec.

Big Noise Theatre Company has announced the cast for Legally Blonde the Musical, running weekends Oct 10-19 at Prairie Lakes Theatre in Des Plaines, IL. Legally Blonde is based on the beloved 2001 movie and 2007 Broadway show about a sorority girl who discovers herself and makes good at Harvard Law at the same time!

Directed by BrightSide Theatre's Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass and playing June 13-June 29, 2014 at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College, 31 S. Ellsworth Avenue in Naperville. Big Noise Theatre Company closes their 2012-13 season with DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, directed and choreographed by Zachary L. Gray, with musical direction by Robert Deason. Performances will be held at the Prairie Lakes Theatre from tonight, April 26-May 12, 2013. Marsha Rutenberg and Daiva Paulis co-produce, and Alex McCrary is the associate director.
