Artistic Director David Esbjornson announces today the finalized list of titles for Seattle Repertory Theatre's upcoming 2008-09 season - a mix of classics and new works delving into subjects as diverse as war, immigration, apocalypse, Craigslist and body image. According to Esbjornson, 'Our goal is to provide the most eclectic, imaginative and provocative programming for this community - plays that reflect the entire spectrum of what defines our amazing city'

Atlantic Theater Company has just announced its exciting 2008-2009 season. The main stage season at the Linda Gross Theater will mark premieres from Academy Award® winning filmmakers Ethan Coen and Martin McDonagh, who return to the Atlantic stage, and the debut of young playwright and screenwriter Beau Willimon.

Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of: GOOD EGG by Dorothy Fortenberry, directed by Jackson Gay. GOOD EGG Responsible Meg has always taken care of her bipolar younger brother Matt. But when she decides to get pregnant-and have her embryos screened for bipolar disorder-is she taking the idea of 'being responsible' too far? A funny and surprising play about bioethics, siblings, and the limits of unconditional love. Dorothy Fortenberry recently graduated from the Yale School of Drama with an MFA in Playwriting. On Monday, April 30, at 8:00PM, the 92nd St. Y Poets' Theatre will present the world premiere of Anne Carson's (author, The Beauty of the Husband: A Fictional Essay in 29 Tangos, Autobiography of Red) new translation of Orestes' tragedy Euripides. The staged reading will be directed by David Esbjornson (The Great Gatsby, Tuesdays with Morrie), artistic director of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Her plays include Bloody Mary (NYIT Award nominee), Sequins for Satan, The Blackstone Hotel, and Soiled Linens. Her work has been developed and produced at Ars Nova, the Williamstown Theater Festival, the Culture Project, the Ontological/Hysteric, and the EVOLVE series at Galapagos.
