Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to Honor Service Men & Women at AMERICANA CONCERT

In collaboration with Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra offers a free performance in honor of American service men and woman. "In Honor of Service - An Americana Concert" is Friday, June 30 at 7 p.m. at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.

Kathy Holly travels from San Francisco to perform her new cabaret show entitled "Round Trip" onSunday September 18, 2016 at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. This show will be the 21st show of the 7thseason for the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. Three locals will be joining Ms. Holly, Wayne Abravanel on piano, and Dan Westfall and David Christopher, as guest vocalists. Tickets are $11 cash only and doors open at 1 PM for open seating.

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish-American experience, and produces works of other cultures interpreted through the lens of an Irish sensibility,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series.  A staged reading of Jennifer O'Grady's play Charlotte's Letters will be held on Friday, January 29 at 3pm EST at the DR2 Theater, 103 East 15th Street (the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during current renovations).  The Irish Rep's literary manager, Kara Manning, will direct the reading. Tickets are free, and the event is open to the public.  An RSVP to 212-727-2737 is suggested.

Lost in Yonkers  opened at Barrington Stage Company last night and BroadwayWorld was there. The show is running through August 1. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize, Lost in Yonkers is a heartfelt and hilarious coming-of-age story by America's great comic playwright, Neil Simon.  Jenn Thompson makes her BSC directing debut.  She is the Co-Artistic Director of The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) in NYC, where she recently directed Beth Henley's Abundance.
