Matthew Bourne's SWAN LAKE Returns To Sadler's Wells

Premiering at Sadler's Wells in 1995, Matthew Bourne's triumphant modern re-interpretation of Swan Lake turned tradition upside down, taking the dance world by storm. This Christmas the multi award-winning hit returns to the theatre where it all began for a strictly limited run from 10 December - 24 January 2010 followed by a national UK tour opening in Woking on 25 January 2010.

Hell's Kitchen The Musical To Run Through March 8

Hell's Kitchen The Musical opened Off-Broadway February 11th at The Hudson Guild Theater. Veteran singer/songwriter and composer Jon Montgomery (Foreigner, KISS) adapted Hell's Kitchen The Musical from his screenplay 'The King Of 42nd Street.' He teamed up with pianist and composer Toby Kasavan (Bootsy Collins, Wilson Pickett), and after the score and book was written, Hell's Kitchen was first showcased at 353 Studios in 2004.

The McDaniel College Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa presents 'Fugues for Multi-Species Living,' a lecture by Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Anna Tsing, at 8 p.m. March 5 on campus in McDaniel Lounge. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, call (410) 857-2294. Tsing's research on a high-value wild mushroom called matsutake explores a fundamental question, 'How can humans live well with other species?' Her lecture ushers audiences into a world where species live not just for themselves but also in relation to each other. 'In Japan, matsutake live with red pines and red pines, in turn, thrive with human disturbance,' Tsing says. 'This lecture offers a tour through Japanese village forests to listen to the histories co-existing species might tell.'

NCC To Perform 3/8 In Baker Memorial Chapel

The 200-voice National Christian Choir (NCC) will perform at 6 p.m. March 8 in Baker Memorial Chapel on campus. Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance. Directed by C. Harry Causey of Sykesville, Md., the choir comprised of members of more than 100 churches will perform 'Beautiful Savior,' 'The Lord is My Strength and My Song,' and 'We Declare Your Majesty.'
