At one point during WASTE OF SPACE, Chris Dwan began singing the lyric 'We're connected in our own sort of universe' again and again. That line came from an original track, 'All I Know,' co-written with Ross Baum. Making his New York City solo concert debut at Feinstein's/54 Below on September 6, Dwan did create his own sort of the universe, but the connections remained a bit unclear.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Chris Dwan in 'Waste of Space' on Tuesday, September 6th 2016. With standout performances both on and off Broadway, Chris Dwan (Finding Neverland, The Old Boy, Harmony) makes his Feinstein's/54 Below and New York City solo concert debut. Conceived by Chris Dwan and Will Blum, the concert event is a cerebral exploration of self discovery and the power of the imagination through the eyes of a boy on a journey beyond the cosmos. Will Van Dyke (Kinky Boots, RENT) music directs with special guests Hannah Corneau (Evita, Daddy Long Legs, Harmony) and Angela Travino (From Here to Eternity, South Pacific). The evening will include a wide range of musical genres including original material by Chris Dwan and Ross Baum and music from Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman's Harmony as well as the Off-Broadway musical Peter & I, with a highly anticipated performance by RANGE a cappella (Hamilton [in 7 minutes], Nickelodeon, Kelly Clarkson's Piece by Piece tour). Additional special guests include Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck (On The Town, Finding Neverland, Gypsy) Will Blum (School of Rock, The Book of Mormon) Will Taylor (BENT, A Chorus Line) and Max Chernin (Bright Star, Brooklynite).

Things got real big and real ORANGE on Thursday night at Broadway Sessions, as '16 Drama grads and alums for Syracuse University took the stage at Broadway Sessions. Syracuse Alums Chris Dwan (Elliot in Finding Neverland), Catherine Charlebois (long time Nessarose in Wicked) and Stephen Carrasco (Fiddler, Kinky Boots and a zillion other  shows) were on point (as the kids say). Syracuse grad heavy vocal sensation RANGE a cappella took a break from their Nickelodeon duties and racking up Hamilton YouTube views to serenade the new comers. The grads did not dissapoint as they made it clear why Syracuse is a top 5 ranked theater school.  Check out the fantastic performances here. #GOORANGE

Jordan Ramirez Puckett Receives Abingdon's Christopher Brian Wolk Award

On Monday, December 14, San Francisco-based playwright Jordan Ramirez Puckett received Abingdon Theatre Company's 2015 Christopher Brian Wolk Award for her play Restore. Artistic Director Tony Speciale presented Ms. Puckett with her award and directed a stage reading of the new play about how an unthinkable event affects a young couple and their families. The reading featured Chris Dwan, Yvette Ganier, Ginger Grace, Dominique Fishback, and Michael Winther, with stage directions read by Zach McCoy.

A slew of Broadway performers are set for the next installment of the 'Broadway Sings' concert series honoring Sara Bareilles. A cast of 20 Broadway stars will sing completely new arrangements of the singer-songwriter's greatest hits, including cast members from the pre-Broadway run of Bareilles' musical Waitress at American Repertory Theatre. The performers will be accompanied by a string orchestra playing original orchestrations, tonight, November 2, at the Highline Ballroom.
