'EastSiders' is a darkly comic look at a gay couple's attempt to stay together through infidelity, drunken outbursts and double standards in Silver Lake, CA. "As the World Turns" star Van Hansis and "Happy Endings" star Stephen Guarino have joined the cast of the new web series "EastSiders," which is scheduled to premiere today, Dec. 14th.

What happens after the world ends? Written and directed by award winning playwright Kit Williamson and starring Van Hansis ("As the World Turns") and Stephen Guarino ("Happy Endings"), the new web series 'EastSiders' explores the aftermath of infidelity on a gay couple in Silverlake. Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for the Alley Theatre's production of November. November features Alley Theatre Resident Actors Jeffrey Bean as President Charles Smith, James Belcher as The Representative of the National Association of Turkey and Turkey Products, Elizabeth Bunch as Clarice Bernstein, David Rainey as Dwight Grackle, and Todd Waite as Archer Brown. November, by David Mamet and directed by Sanford Robbins, begins performances tonight, August 24, opens officially Wednesday, August 29, and runs through Sunday, September 23 on the Neuhaus Stage.

Bullet for Adolf, the new comedy by Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman, has extended its run at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Originally scheduled to play its final performance on Sunday, September 9, the production will now play through Sunday, October 21.

Once upon a summer of '83, a young aspiring actor named Woody Harrelson became close pals with a Harlem-raised fellow named Frankie Hyman while they both worked a construction job in Houston.  Eventually, they went their separate ways; one becoming famous for doing something other than playwriting and the other pursuing a career in writing, although these many years later he apparently hasn't written anything he would care to mention in a Playbill bio.

Two days after the death of its author, I had the pleasure of taking in director Michael Wilson's outstanding revival of The Best Man – one of the best evenings Broadway had to offer last season – for the third time.  Gore Vidal most certainly went out with a landslide victory.

Woody Harrelson appeared on last night's 'The Colbert Report' on Comedy Central to discuss his new Off-Broadway play, BULLET FOR ADOLF. During the interview, the actor managed to unbutton his shirt to casually reveal a bit of advertising for the show. Check out the appearance below!

The husband-and-wife team of John and Faith Hubley, who brought a humanistic perspective and a distinctly modern style to postwar American animation, will be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Friday, September 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
