USA welcomes summer with its most ambitious slate of originals across five nights a week. In addition to six returning audience and critic's favorites and a series premiere, the network ushers in a new breed of characters in the provocative miniseries event POLITICAL ANIMALS.

USA moves into Upfront Week for the first time with the biggest and most spectacular event yet with performances by Oscar and Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson and world-renowned DJ and Grammy Award- winner Mark Ronson. The talent only presentation will feature the stars of USA at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Thursday, May 17 at 3:30pm.

TVLine.com reports that Gaius Charles will guest star in a major story arc on Season 2 of USA Network's NECESSARY ROUGHNESS.

On Friday, I had the enviable privilege of talking to ROCK OF AGES Tony Award nominee and AMERICAN IDOL star Constantine Maroulis all about the new musical he is starring in at the Alley Theater in Houston as it eyes Broadway, THE TOXIC AVENGER. FX has set its summer schedule with the return of two critically acclaimed original series and the premiere of a new original comedy. Wilfred, FX's newest original comedy, and the second season of Louie will premiere on Thursday, June 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT and 10:30 PM ET/PT, respectively. Rescue Me returns for its final season on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
