Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Jay Armstrong Johnson has wowed Broadway audiences inOn The Town (Chip), Hands on a Hardbody (Greg), Hair (Claude), and Catch Me If You Can. The New York Timescalled his performance as Anthony Hope in the New York Philharmonic's Sweeney Todd 'affecting and ardent,' and his performance as Herman in Encores' Most Happy Fella 'a standout.'

Broadway stages, concert halls, network TV... Jay Armstrong Johnson has conquered them all, and he's about to add even more to his list of accomplishments.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Jay Armstrong Johnson, currently starring on ABC's smash-hit drama 'Quantico' and recent star of Broadway's acclaimed 2014 revival of On The Town, will make his Feinstein's / 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) solo debut on April 27, 29 and 30. Singing everything from Sondheim to Dixie Chicks, Johnson will be joined all three nights by a full eight-piece all star-band and special guests Billy Lewis Jr. ('Glee') and Lindsay Mendez (Wicked). On April 30th only, Todrick Hall (MTV's 'Todrick') will be guest-starring alongside Lewis Jr. and Mendez. Tickets are on sale now at www.54Below.com.

Producer Paul Adams and Emerging Artists Theatre present second developmental workshop of the new musical, TRUE LOVE. The musical, formerly called MEAN: THE MUSICAL, received its first workshop in May as part of Emerging Artists' 'New Work Series.' Singer-Songwriter Alecia Beth Moore (P!nk) is currently not involved directly with the musical's development, but is aware of the project. The second one-day only staged reading will take place today, October 10th at 2:00 PM at TADA! Theater, 15 West 28th Street in NYC.

The musical, formerly called Mean: The Musical, received its first workshop in May as part of Emerging Artists' 'New Work Series.' Singer-Songwriter Alecia Beth Moore (P!nk) is currently not involved directly with the musical's development, but is aware of the project.

On August 24th at 6:30 p.m. EST, artists from television, Broadway, and the recording industry will come together to support LGBTQ youth in New York City. The event is officially titled “Express Yourself” and will take place at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 2), located at 196 Allen St, New York, NY. All proceeds will be donated to the Arts & Culture Department of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which specializes in “Empowerment, Education and Advocacy for LGBTQ Youth.” Check out the event on their website HERE.
