For the first time in history,an American President is on trial for crimes against the world. The Trial of An American President, a new drama by Dick Tarlow with Bill Smith, will play off-Broadway at The Lion Theatre (410 W. 42nd Street) opening is this Thursday, September 29th. The Actors' Equity Foundation's 2016 Clarence Derwent Awards for most promising female and male performers on the New York metropolitan scene have gone to Alana Arenas (Head of Passes) and Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen). The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Foundation, which administers the awards.
