Kicking off Adirondack Theatre Festival's 23rd summer season of professional theater is Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat, an electronic pop musical. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21-Saturday, July 1, and 2 p.m.Wednesday, June 28, at the Charles R. Wood Theater.

The award-winning Vital Theatre Company has announced that FLIGHT SCHOOL THE MUSICAL, based on the book 'Flight School' by Lita Judge, with a book by Cara Lustik, lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen, music by David Mallamud and directed and choreographed by Clint Hromsco, continues performing at Theater at Blessed Sacrament on selected Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am, through May 28, 2017.

A show is a product of design-from the lights that you see to the sound that surrounds you to the hair on top of the actors' heads. Hair and wig designers help define characters, though their work largely goes unnoticed.

Presentations are on Sept 30th at 3pm & 7pm and Oct 1st at 2pm & 7pm at Playwrights Horizons South Room, 416 West 42nd Street, 4th Floor. Running time is 75 minutes. Tickets are $18 and available at www.mtf.nyc

Drama Desk Award-winning theatre star JOSE LLANA will celebrate his debut American solo album Altitude with his debut concert at Joe's Pub at The Public on Monday, May 16 at 9:30 PM.

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release the debut American solo album from Drama Desk Award-winning theatre star JOSE LLANA on Friday, May 13. Altitude - based on his acclaimed concert at the Lincoln Center American Songbook Series last year - celebrate his 20 years on Broadway with a savvy collection of songs he performed on and off the main stem, in addition to pop favorites. In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. HELD MOMENTARILY -- the new musical featuring India Carney, the singer and actress who was a 2015 finalist on NBC-TV's 'The Voice' -- has extended its engagement at The New York Musical Theatre Festival. Scheduled to run July 20 to July 27, 2015, the production has added an additional performance on Tuesday, July 21 at 1:00 PM at PTC Performance Space (555 West 42nd Street in New York).

Jonathan Groff may have been away from Broadway for a while, but this season he is taking the musical theatre community by storm. This spring he appeared in The Public Theater's breakthrough production of HAMILTON as King George III, a role he will follow to Broadway later this summer. He also appeared in a sold-out concert event of HOW TO SUCCEED, performed at London's Royal Festival Hall. Now, Groff is taking on the role of 'Gordon' in A NEW BRAIN, as part of ENCORES! Off-Center series. During a break in rehearsals, Groff chatted with BroadwayWorld about everything A NEW BRAIN, upcoming HAMILTON rehearsals, making his long-awaited Broadway return and so much more.
