Casting was announced today for the HighTide production of Al Smith's debut play Harrogate. Nigel Lindsay joins Sarah Ridgeway, who starred in the original production at HighTide Festival 2015, for the London premiere at the Royal Court Theatre from 20 - 29 October and UK Tour. Richard Twyman, the newly appointed Artistic Director of English Touring Theatre, returns to direct Harrogate, which had an acclaimed sell-out run at the influential annual HighTide Festival in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.  

Soho Theatre, HighTide and Talawa Theatre Company present Theresa Ikoko's award-winning new play Girls, the funny and fiercely passionate new play by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko will premiere at HighTide Festival 2016 in September before its London premiere at Soho Theatre on 27 September. The production will also run at Birmingham Rep Theatre in between those dates.

Beth Steel, who scored at hit at the Hampstead in 2014 with a play about the 1980s miners' strike, has dipped back into history to create one with sickening relevance to the current financial crisis. It's 1978, and Wall Street is packed with cowboys gleefully eyeing up their new frontier: Latin America.

The Hampstead Theatre has announced its Autumn season 2016 for the Main Stage. Leading off in September is the world premiere of Beth Steel's compelling new thriller LABYRINTH, directed by Anna Ledwich.

Artistic Directors of Paines Plough James Grieve and George Perrin today revealed the line-up for COME TO WHERE I'M FROM: LONDON, which will take place across six London venues from 27 June until 6 July. Partnering with new writing theatre company Tamasha, Paines Plough will present 26 writers from across London performing short plays about the place they call home. Ahead of revealing its full tenth anniversary programme on 15 March, HighTide has announced today that, alongside the Arcola Theatre, they will present a brand new play by Anders Lustgarten. The play will run at the Arcola from 7th April before opening HighTide Festival in September.

The 2014 Evening Standard Theatre Award winners were announced this evening, November 30, at the London Palladium in a ceremony presented by Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon.

The shortlist for the annual Evening Standard Theatre Awards has been announced, and it includes such theatrical heavyweights as Tom Hiddleston, Kristin Scott Thomas, Helen McCrory, Gillian Anderson and many more!
