Rainy Day Productions will present industry readings of the new play Chasing the River by Jean Dobie Giebel. Directed by Illana Stein, the six-member cast will feature Tony Carlin, Aaron Costa Ganis, Annie Golden, Deborah Rayne, Chet Siegel, and Wendy Rich Stetson. Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) is pleased to announce that Gregory Doran, artistic director, Royal Shakespeare Company, has invited Michael Boyd to stage his edit of Tamburlaine, Boyd's version of Christopher Marlowe's two-part epic, Tamburlaine the Great, which will open the Swan Theatre season at the Stratford-Upon-Avon based RSC.

The Signature Theatre's Annual Gala was held just last night at The Pershing Square Signature Center (located at 480 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues). The event, hosted by Signature Board Chair Edward Norton, celebrated Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, Signature's 2016-17 Residency One Playwright, and honor the steadfast support of Signature's official airline, Delta Air Lines.

Tamburlaine the Great starring John Douglas Thompson, edited and directed by Olivier Award-winner Michael Boyd into one fast-moving three-hour event with choreography by Sam Pinkleton and music composed by Arthur Solari, extends its broadly-acclaimed run for an additional two weeks through January 4 at Theatre for a New Audience, Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Horowitz announced. The original closing date was December 21.
