Mosaic Records has announced the April 10, 2021 release of The Complete Louis Armstrong Columbia & RCA Victor Studio Sessions 1946 - 66, a 7-CD boxed set that will take listeners into the studio with Armstrong in a way never previously imaginable.

Charlotte's Off Broadway (Anne Lambert, producer) announced today that rush tickets are now available for the remaining performances of the Off-Broadway premiere of Confidence (and The Speech), the new play, written by Susan Lambert Hatem and directed by Hannah Ryan (Hamilton, An American in Paris) which is playing a limited engagement at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street a?" between 9th & 10th Avenues). Previews began on November 14 and the show had an official opening on November 20, 2019. Performances will continue through December 7, 2019. Rush Tickets priced at $20 (cash only) are available at the Theatre Row box office (410 West 42nd Street) one (1) hour prior to performance.

Charlotte's Off Broadway (Producer, Anne Lambert) is very happy to welcome April Armstrong (Ragtime, Carousel) to the company for the Off-Broadway premiere of Confidence (and The Speech), a new play, written by Susan Lambert Hatem and directed by Hannah Ryan (Hamilton, An American in Paris). Ms. Armstrong will portray President Jimmy Carter (replacing the previously announced Denise Burse) for a limited engagement at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street a?" between 9th & 10th Avenues). Previews will begin on Thursday, November 14 at 8pm with an official opening on Wednesday, November 20th at 8pm. Performances will continue through December 7th.

Bridge Street Theatre presents Jen Silverman's THE MOORSComing soon to Catskill's adventurous Bridge Street Theatre is the second production in its 2019 Subscription Series - "The Moors", a darkly comic work from Jen Silverman, one of the hottest young playwrights in the U.S. today. Mimi Stern-Wolfe's Downtown Music Productions will appear in a revival of Harold Rome's witty satire Pins and Needles, music direction by Stern-Wolfe, stage direction by Larry Marshall, choreography by Mercedes Ellington,Tuesday October 25, 7 PM, at the Howl Gallery, 6 East 1st Street.  (All proceeds will go to the Actor's Fund and HOWL Help.)  With its critically acclaimed score and lyrics, Pins and Needles,  written in 1937, is a unique call for social justice and equity.

The Kitchen is pleased to present The Tear Drinkers, the second musical work from beloved performer and Bessie-Award-winning composer Mike Iveson. The Tear Drinkers is a suite of sci-fi songs for six performers and piano; it follows four humans who have been abducted by the United States government and brought to an underground holding tank in New Mexico, so that the government can determine which of them is actually an alien from another planet masquerading as an earthling. Downtown performer Mike Iveson leads a team of exceptional artists, including pioneering video artist Charles Atlas, in a look at the private heartaches and private bathroom rituals of humans and aliens alike.
