Fullcasting has been announced for Laugh It Up, Stare It Down, a new play written by Alan Hruska (The Man on Her Mind, New House under Construction, Reunion) and directed by Chris Eigeman (known as a filmmaker for Turn The River and as an actor for roles in television's Gilmore Girls and the films Metropolitan, Barcelona, and The Last Days of Disco). Laugh It Up, Stare It Down will premiere at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) beginning a limited engagement on August 26th with opening night set for September 9th.

On June 20th, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation's founding chairs Emily Levin Esq. and Julie Ratner Ed. D held their 20th annual gala to celebrate their achievements over the past two decades and to honor Andy Sabin for his environmental and philanthropic work. Chaired by Jean Shafiroff and hosted by Fox Meteorologist Audrey Puente, the duo welcomed over 300 guests to photographer, Steven Klein's Westkill Farm in Bridgehampton for a night of dinner and dancing to the sounds of Audrey's brother, Tito Puente Jr. & his 10-piece band. Over Thanksgiving weekend, SHOWTIME will be airing full catch-up marathons of the current seasons of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series HOMELAND beginning on Saturday, November 29th at 3 p.m. ET/PT, and the critically-acclaimed new drama THE AFFAIR on Sunday, November 30th starting at 4 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers can also catch up on the current seasons via SHOWTIME ON DEMAND and SHOWTIME ANYTIME. New episodes of both hit series return on Sunday, December 7th starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The marathon event comes after the recently announced pick-ups of THE AFFAIR for a second season and of HOMELAND for a fifth season.

Showtime has just released the trailer for Season 4 of HOMELAND, and according to TV Guide, the story starts six months after the end of Season 3.

The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the new play Storm written and directed by P.J. Barry, and the new musical, God's Country with Book & Lyrics by Erik Johnke, and Music by Elaine Chelton at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
