The Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford is a six-week theater and performance program that uniquely combines the study of Shakespeare's text, contemporary ensemble training, and the opportunity to rehearse and perform in two of Shakespeare's plays in repertory.

Free Shakespeare (CFS) and Festival! Stratford are moving heaven and earth this year to bring a professional production of Shakespeare's most boisterous comedy to the public for free. A skillful, hilarious adaptation of William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew will be performed on the grounds of the American Shakespeare Festival Theatre in Stratford from Wednesday, August 17 through Sunday, August 21 from 8 to 10 pm.

The Cat in the Hat now playing at the Coterie Theatre in Crown Center is a purr-fect entertainment package for the whole family. Heidi Van directs the Coterie production based on the book by Dr. Seuss. Katie Mitchell adapted and directed the original production by the National Theatre of Great Britain. Mitchell's adaption maintains the books fun simplicity and famous imagery, recreating the story page-by-page. A member of the audience Andrew Dearinger, a fifth grader, stated he was impressed with the interaction of the characters and the audience and thought it made the show more meaningful.
