The highly anticipated world premiere of the rock-meets-classical fusion concert experience, Rock Me Amadeus - Live!, came to the stage last Sunday, January 21st, at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL. Check out photos here!

The world premiere of Rock Me Amadeus - Live! is set to captivate audiences with its groundbreaking fusion of rock and classical music. Featuring a star-studded cast of vocalists and instrumentalists, this extraordinary concert experience interweaves classic rock anthems with timeless compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, and Puccini.

Now being performed at the Kauffman Center and concluding this weekend is a wonderful rendition by the Lyric Opera of Kansas City of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s final composition together, “The Sound of Music”  This production is as good as it gets. Framed by massive settings by Peter J. Davison and glorious costumes by Alex Valasek, “Sound of Music” is the incredible, mostly true tale of the Von Trapp family singers and their escape from the Nazis taken from the Matriarch Maria Von Trapp’s 1949 memoir.

Sarasota Opera  will host the finals for Schmidt Vocal Arts (SVA) second annual national Schmidt Vocal Competition at Sarasota Opera House June 2-4, 2023.

Tickets for Opera Carolina's 2022/23 season are now on sale to the public. This season will explore iconic women in opera and focus on the power of opera by emphasizing HERstory. The season will open in October with Puccini's Tosca, continued in January 2023 with Porgy & Bess, and will conclude in April with Verdi's La traviata. The world-premiere recording of James M. Stephenson's Symphony No. 3, 'Visions,' the prolific Chicago composer's largest orchestral work to date, will be released digitally August 5, 2022, on Cedille Records.

Librettist Lila Palmer and Director Chloe Treat join forces this summer on the World Premiere production of HOLY GROUND at the 2022 Glimmerglass Festival.
