Last night at the Minskoff Theatre, The Lion King celebrated a huge milestone- 20 years on Broadway. Creative team members Julie Taymor, Tim Rice, Garth Fagan, Lebo M., Mark Mancina, Roger Allers, and Irene Mecchi joined hundreds of alumni and others for a special performance of the show, culminating in a surprise performance by The Lion King's Tony-nominated composer Elton John.

Gambatese and Kready Set to Lead Industry Reading of ONE NIGHT

A by-invitation-only industry reading of the new musical comedy One Night will be held on March 2, 3 and 6 at Nola Studios. One Night has book and lyrics by Kleban Award winners Laurence Holzman & Felicia Needleman and a pop jazz score by David Shenton.

THE LION KING will be featured on the hit CBS drama, CODE BLACK, starring Marcia Gay Harden, in an episode to air Wednesday, Nov. 25 (10:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The episode features Alton Fitzgerald White, who played a record-breaking 4,000 performances as 'Mufasa' in The Lion King, as well as eight members of The Lion King North American Tour. It all started with Marc Oka (an Original Broadway Cast member) who decided to try and gather members of the casts of MISS SAIGON for a reunion. He went to URBO (a fantastic restaurant, bar and venue, in the heart of Times Square) and Manager, Benjamin Ickies, who is also a musician, and BOOM ... the night was born.
