Longtime ABC executive Mark Cohen, retired executive vice president, ABC Broadcast Group and vice president, Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. died on December 31st 2013. Mr. Cohen was 81 years old.

ESPN & WNBA Extend Partnership Through 2022

ESPN and the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) have extended their agreement six years, through the 2022 season, it was announced today by John Skipper, President of ESPN, Inc. and Co-Chairman of the Disney Media Networks, and Laurel J. Richie, WNBA President. The new agreement, which will lengthen ESPN's relationship with the WNBA to 26 years, dating back to the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997, allows for games to be presented on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and WatchESPN.
ESPN & Mountain West Conference Announce Multiyear Rights Agreement

ESPN, Inc., has reached an agreement in principle with the Mountain West for rights to televise select conference football and basketball games from 2013-14 through the 2019-20 season. ESPN will acquire exclusive worldwide rights to televise up to 16 Mountain West football games plus every Boise State home game as well as up to 31 conference-controlled men's basketball games annually. ESPN will have the right to make every game available to video subscribers via WatchESPN.

ESPN has announced a new deal with the Australian Football League (AFL) to bring viewers exclusive live television coverage of the AFL Premiership in the UK and Republic of Ireland, Canada, and sub-saharan Africa. Pacific Stages will follow up their debut production of Lobby Hero with the world premiere of Something Happened, by award-winning playwright L. Trey Wilson. Something Happened runs April 1 through May 16 at Pacific Stages in El Segundo and will be directed by L. Trey Wilson. The press opening begins April 8 and there will be an opening reception Saturday, April 10.
