At a celebration lunch held at New York City's swanky Four Seasons, Broadway A-listers celebrated Chita Rivera's brilliant Tony nominated performance in The Visit.

According to Page Six of the New York Post, one guest was so over the moon with Rivera's presence that he jumped into the restaurant's famous decorative pool.

"Well, [Tony nominee] Sting's not here, so someone has to act like a rock star," explained British restaurant owner Phil Winser of his dramatic fully-clothed leap into the water.

According to The Post, other theater vets in attendance included Joel Grey, Bernadette Peters, Bebe Neuwirth, Tyne Daly and Ben Vereen, "Hand to God" star Steven Boyer, "The King and I" star Ruthie Ann Miles, GIGI's Victoria Clark, Max von Essen of "An American in Paris" and "Fun Home" star Beth Malone.

The celebration for 82-year-old Rivera, co-hosted by former Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr., went into "late, late afternoon, with guests enjoying free-flowing Champagne and the Four Seasons' iconic cotton candy," according to The Post.

Along with her Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, Rivera has also received a Drama Desk Award nomination, and an Outer Critic Circle Award nomination for the role. Earlier this month, she was the winner of the Drama League's Distinguished Performance Award.

Rivera has won two TONY AWARDS and received seven additional Tony nominations. Her career highlights include starring roles in Bye Bye Birdie, The Rink (Tony Award), Chicago, Jerry's Girls, Kiss of the Spider Woman (Tony Award), The Dancer's Life, recent revivals of The Mystery of Edwin Drood andNine, and the original Broadway casts of Guys and Dolls, Can-Can, Seventh Heaven and Mr. Wonderful.

On tour she has starred in The Rose Tattoo, Call Me Madam, Sweet Charity, Zorba. She was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Kennedy Center Honor.
