Performances began last night for Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Everyone remembering the stage door frenzy at his previous two Broadway bows in A STEADY RAIN and THE BOY FROM OZ has been wondering just how crazy 44th street would become. Well, we've got the first pics as fans mobbed both sides of the street. Expect to see them there, for the next ten weeks!
Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman returns to the New York stage for a 10-week engagement in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway. Opening night is November 10; the production runs through January 1, 2012.
Accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra, Hugh Jackman will perform a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on the stage and film star's remarkable life and career, from The Boy from Oz to Hollywood.
Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway follows recent sold-out runs in San Francisco and Toronto. The creative team for Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway includes Warren Carlyle (Direction and Choreography), Patrick Vaccariello (Musical Direction), John Lee Beatty (Scenic Designer), Ken Billington (Lighting Design), William Ivey Long (Costume Designer), John Shivers (Sound Design), and Alexander V. Nichols (Projection and Video Design). Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway is produced by Robert Fox and The Shubert Organization.
