Last night, Monday, October 20, MATILDA THE MUSICAL composer/lyricist and renowned comedian Tim Minchin appeared at Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre to answer questions about the musical's 2015 run in Los Angeles, opposite special event host Barrett Foa ("NCIS: Los Angeles"). Winner of seven Olivier Awards, including Best Musical, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is based on the beloved novel by best-selling author Roald Dahl ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"). It is the story of an extraordinary girl who dreams of a better life. Armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, Matilda dares to take a stand and change her destiny.

MATILDA is directed by Tony Award-winner Matthew Warchus, with a book by Tony Award-winner Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.
