Earlier this week 42West hosted the first BROADWAY THE HARDWAY, featuring this year's Tony winner Lena Hall ("Hedwig and the Angry Inch," "Kinky Boots"), Tony nominee Billy Magnussen ("Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike"), Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis ("Rock of Ages"), as well as the casts of ROCK OF AGES, A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, and more. Tina Fey and her husband Jeff Richmond attended a performance of HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL this week. Fey was blown away with the show. She was so taken, in fact, that she prematurely congratulated the cast backstage during intermission. The recipient of multiple Emmy Award, Fey is currently working on a musical adaptation of her 2004 hit film "Mean Girls." Click here to see more!

In its 35th Anniversary Season, Second Stage Theatre produces Laura Eason's SEX WITH STRANGERS starring Emmy winner Anna Gunn ("Breaking Bad") and Tony nominee Billy Magnussen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike). Directed by David Schwimmer, SEX WITH STRANGERS began its run on Wednesday, which will conclude on August 24th. Click here to see more photos of opening night!

Earlier this week at 54 Below, a cabaret-style concert of VOLLEYGIRLS was performed in order to benefit the It Gets Better Project. Hosted by Susan Blackwell, the concert featured Krysta Rodriguez, Eric Michael Gillett, PJ Adzima, and more. VOLLEYGIRLS premiered at the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival, and starred Blackwell. Click here to see more coverage of the concert!

Currently starring in Broadway's PIPPIN, John Rubenstein was honored with a caricature at the legendary Sardis earlier this week. Rubenstein was in the original Broadway production of PIPPIN in the title role, and is now filling the role of King Charlemagne, Pippin's father. Neil Patrick Harris, this year's winner of the Tony Award for Best Actor, posed before performing this week with a mini Hedwig doll while in costume. Harris will headline in this year's Best Revival of a Musical HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH for another two weeks, before ending his legendary run on August 17th. Read more about Hedwig here!

The fourth in a series of six free concerts took place this Thursday in Bryant Park. This week's concert featured the casts of Broadway's ONCE, ROCK OF AGES, this year's Tony Winner A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, and off-Broadway hit HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL. Broadway in Bryant Park will run for two more Thursdays before ending its summer run. Click here to see more coverage of the concert!

The cast of this year's THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME met the press this week. The production will begin performances on September 10th with an official opening on Sunday, October 5th at the Barrymore Theatre. The cast features Juilliard graduate Alexander Sharp in his Broadway debut as Christopher. Click here to see more coverage of the event!
