The Public's HERE LIES LOVE kicked off its "Summer Friday" performances on Friday. On the Friday, July 11th kickoff, guests in attendance included Alan Rickman, Tommy Tune, Anika Larsen, After Midnight's Karine Plantadit, Andrew Andrew and Sirius XM's Julie James. After the show, they partied with the cast at The Library Restaurant at the Public Theater. Check out photos below!

Summer Fridays have started with Happy Hour performances at the Off-Broadway hit musical Here Lies Love at the Public Theater. For those folks who get out of work early on Friday, the party can start at the 5pm performance where drinks are now served pre and post show. And since the 90 minute show gets out at 6:30pm you might see some of your favorite Broadway stars there before they head to their evening shows. And other folks have plenty of time to head out to the beach or the mountains after the show. It's a perfect and fun scenario.

Here Lies Love is playing a smash open-ended run at the Public Theatre and it just announced its first International Company at the Dorfman Theatre in London opening this Fall. Interest and plans are in the works for several upcoming national and international productions.

HERE LIES LOVE, which premiered in New York in 2013 to critical and popular acclaim, traces the astonishing journey of Imelda Marcos, First Lady of the Philippines, from her meteoric rise to power to descent into infamy and disgrace. The new Dorfman Theatre is transformed into a pulsating club for an immersive theatrical event which combines heart-pounding beats with adrenaline-fuelled choreography and 360-degree staging.

With concept and lyrics by David Byrne, music by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, and additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, Here Lies Love is directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Annie-B Parson, set design by David Korins, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting by Justin Townsend, sound by M. L. Dogg and Cody Spencer, and projection design by Peter Nigrini. The music supervisor is Kimberly Grigsby; Justin Levine is the collaborating music producer, and the music editor is Matt Stine.
