El Portal Theatre and 22Q Entertainment -- Robert Levinstein & Alan Wager present Always...Patsy Cline, starring Sally Struthers and Carter Calvert as Patsy Cline, today, July 10 to August 3, 2014 at the historic El Portal Theatre, in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA. Check out a first look below!

This production reunites Struthers and Calvert as they have previously performed Always...Patsy Cline together at Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, and the Algonquin Arts Theatre in New Jersey.

The musical was written and originally directed by Ted Swindley. Twenty-two of Cline's most famous hit songs, including "Crazy," "I Fall To Pieces," "Sweet Dreams," "Back in Baby's Arms" and "Your Cheatin' Heart" are performed by Calvert along with a five-piece band, under the Musical Direction of John Randall.

This wonderful, country western, toe-tapping musical, is based on the life and music of country legend Patsy Cline (Carter Calvert) and a Texas housewife, Louise Seger (Sally Struthers), who struck up a friendship after meeting Cline and remained friends until Cline's untimely death at age 30 in a 1963 plane accident. The shows title was inspired by Cline's letters to Seger which were consistently signed LoveAlways...Patsy Cline.

Sally Struthers is best known for her portrayal of Gloria Stivic in the classic television show All in the Family. She also starred on Broadway in Wally's Café and in Neil Simon's female version of The Odd Couple, as well as Miss Lynch in the Tommy Tune production of Grease and Miss Hannigan in the 20th Anniversary tour of the musical Annie. Ms. Struther's recently completed a critically acclaimed 70 city national tour of Hello, Dolly! Celebrating the musical's 50th Anniversary.

Ms. Calvert is best known for originating her role in the Tony nominated It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues on Broadway where she co-starred with Grammy nominated Gregory Porter. Calvert's extensive credits include a European tour of Smokey Joe's Cafe, and the lead role of Grizabella in the Broadway national tour of Cats. She comes directly from the new Off-Broadway production of Forbidden Broadway Comes Out Swinging!

Always...Patsy Cline has enjoyed great successes all over the world including Off Broadway. It has been the most produced musical in America according to American Theatre Magazine.
