Lace up your skates and join Mazeppa this summer at Xanadu, the hit musical comedy about believing in magic and following your dreams. Xanadu's opening tomorrow, July 10, 2014, will mark the official start of Mazeppa's fourth season of musical theatre and its third season at Christ Church Neighborhood House. Xanadu runs now thorugh July 26, 2014, at Christ Church Neighborhood House, located at 20 North American Street (off 2nd Street between Market and Arch Streets) in the Old City section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Scroll down for a first look at the cast onstage!

A hit on Broadway in 2007, Xanadu is a hilarious, award-winning musical comedy adventure about following your dreams. Xanadu follows Kira, a beautiful, magical Greek muse, who is sent on a quest from the heavens to inspire a young artist to achieve his greatest dream - to build a roller disco! (Yep, it's the 80s!) Based on the cult-classic film starring Olivia Newton-John, this roller-skating, disco-dancing adventure weaves popular '80s songs like "Magic," "Suddenly," "I'm Alive," "Evil Woman," and "Xanadu" into the show The New York Times called "simultaneously indefensible and irresistible." It's hilarity on wheels...and in leg warmers!

This summer, Mazeppa continues its tradition of presenting theater in new and innovative ways with a unique fully-immersive staging of Xanadu. This thrillingly interactive production transports audience members back to the dawn of the roller disco and invites them to boogie down with the cast and musicians on the 360-degree set. Rob Henry directs this exhilarating and completely unmissable event, with disco-goodness choreography by Robert Harris and funky musical direction by Ryan Touhey.

The cast of Xanadu is led by Erica Nicole Rothman (Kira) and C.J. Celeiro (Sonny) with Paul Weagraff (Danny), Angela Leone (Melpomene), Dylan Geringer (Calliope), Nate Golden (Thalia), Kimberly Maxson (Erato), Adam Hoyak (Terpsicore), and Sarah Spangenberg (Euterpe). Brittany Wit Martin and Ricky Rotandi complete the company as the pit singers and understudies.

All tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.mazeppa.org or by calling the box office at (267) 559-9602.
