Lincoln Center Theater/ LCT3's New York premiere of The Who & The What, by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior, will open on Monday, June 16 at 7PM. The Who & The What features Tala Ashe, Greg Keller, Nadine Malouf, and Bernard White, and will run through Sunday, July 13 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65th Street). Below, BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at the production!

The Who & The What tells the story of Zarina (Nadine Malouf), a brilliant and outspoken Pakistani-American writer, who goes to great lengths to please her family, even dating a convert to Islam (Greg Keller) to please her traditional father (Bernard White). But when her father and sister (Tala Ashe) read the manuscript of Zarina's novel about women and Islam, a confrontation ensues which threatens to tear their family apart for good.

Ayad Akhtar won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play Disgraced, which enjoyed an extended run at LCT3's Claire Tow Theater and will be produced on Broadway this fall. He is the author of the critically-acclaimed novel American Dervish and the play The Invisible Hand. He co-authored and starred in the film The War Within, which was released internationally, and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Screenplay. As an actor, he starred in HBO's adaptation of Andrew Ross Sorkin's Too Big To Fail.

Kimberly Senior directed Disgraced at LCT3, as well as the play's world premiere at Chicago's American Theater Company. She is a Chicago-based director whose credits include productions at Steppenwolf, Strawdog, American Blues and Next Theatres. She is an Artistic Associate at Next Theatre, Strawdog Theatre, and Chicago Dramatists.

The Who & The What will have sets by Jack Magaw, costumes by Emily Rebholz, lighting by Japhy Weideman and sound by Jill BC Du Boff.

The Who & The What is performed Monday and Wednesday through Sunday evenings at 7pm with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets, priced at $20, are available at Lincoln Center Theater box office, telecharge.com or by visiting www.lct3.org.
