Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton''s only professional theatre company, is ready to wow Atlanta area audiences with the much anticipated stage spectacle: The Great Gatsby. F. Scott Fitzgerald''s classic 1920''s Jazz Age epic has been adapted for the stage, and is the next installment in GET''s record-setting season. Directed by founding company member Tess Malis Kincaid, the show runs February 27 through March 16, 2014, at the Theatre''s home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. The production is generously sponsored by The Bank of North Georgia.

The thrilling and much-loved literary classic "The Great Gatsby" now comes to the stage. Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to life in Simon Levy''s adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre Artistic Director Robert Farley is proud to bring the legend of Jay Gatsby and this classic Jazz Age story of the building and decay of the American Dream through the lens of obsession, greed and danger to the Atlanta stage. He continued, "I''m grateful to Gatsby director Tess Malis Kincaid for the wonderful, creative vision that she has brought to this ambitious production."

For her part, Ms. Kincaid stated, "I am honored to have the opportunity to tell this epic story that lends itself so beautifully to the medium of live theatre. The creative team for this production has collaborated so well to weave original music and a unique theatricality into this story of love, hope, carelessness, decadence and heartbreak. And I couldn''t be more pleased with the exceptional group of actors in the cast of The Great Gatsby, who are bringing such excitement and vitality to their work; it is clearly a project that they believe in, and they are absolutely bringing their A-game. You''re in for a treat."

Tickets: Ticket prices for The Great Gatsby range from $25 to $35 (Senior/Student discounts available for select performances). "Recession-Buster" perimeter tickets may also be purchased for $10 based on availability. Tickets are available now online at www.get.org, or by calling the Box Office at 770-641-1260.
