Rocky began its preview run with a surprise for its audience last week - Sylvester Stallone, who played Balboa in his film incarnation in 1976, stepped back into the ring to join actors Andy Karl and Margo Seibert for their first curtain call. Director Scott Alan Evans addresses the cast and production team of TACT's Beyond Therapy, set to open 3/25. In its first New York revival, Christopher Durang's razor sharp comedy about the search for a meaningful relationship in an insane world may provide the best therapy of all - guaranteed laughter. The latest in York Theatre Company's Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series lineup, celebrating Sheldon Harnick, closed on 2/16 and will be followed by Smiling, The Boy Fell Dead and Tenderloin. Based on Moliere's The Doctor in Spite of Himself, Harnick's adaptation tells the story of a woodcutter manipulated by his spiteful wife to impersonate a brilliant doctor. Zach Braff and Marin Mazzie rehearse a scene for Woody Allen's first musical comedy, Bullets Over Broadway. Based on the 1994 movie of the same name, Bullets Over Broadway tells the story of an aspiring young playwright (Braff) newly arrived on Broadway in 1920's New York who is forced to cast a mobster's (Vincent Pastore) talentless girlfriend (Helene Yorke) in his latest drama in order to get it produced. Aladdin, set to open March 20, tells the beloved story of a magical lamp brought to thrilling theatrical life. The show features all the cherished songs from the animated film and more written especially for Broadway. Brandt Martinez, a cast member in Broadway's upcoming production of Aladdin, is featured here in one of several new character portaits. For Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie and more, click here!

Ramin Karimloo rehearses a scene as Jean Valjean for the upcoming Broadway revival of the hit musical, which was also recently made into an Oscar-winning film. The production is set to begin previews on March 1. For more coverage of the cast in rehearsal click here.

The new musical stage adaptation of the 1989 film, opening March 31, tells the story of Westerberg High - terrorized by Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio - and the dark new stranger who plans to put them in their place: 6 feet under. The company of Jason Robert Brown's newest musical, The Bridges of Madison County, which opened on Broadway last night, performed the traditional gypsy robe ceremony after the show. The ceremony calls for the chorus member with the most Broadway credits to wear the robe around the stage, with everyone in the company touching it for luck. A memento from the show is then added to the robe, which is sent to the next opening production. For more photos of the ceremony click here!
