The talented teens of the award-winning Riverdale Rising Stars present ALL SHOOK UP, a musical comedy featuring the hits of Elvis Presley, for a limited engagement of seven performances only. Rock & roll-loving audiences of all ages can catch this show February 1 - February 9, 2014. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

In ALL SHOOK UP, It's 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with the rock & roll classics of Elvis Presley, including "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," "Don't Be Cruel," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and many, many more!

Riverdale Rising Stars Director of Artistic Programming Laurie Walton stages ALL SHOOK UP, which features choreography by Emily Walton and Laurie Berich, and musical direction by Justin Fischer. The design team includes Penny Margeotes (costumes), David Pentz (lighting), and Denise Eberly (sound).

ALL SHOOK UP, a musical comedy built around 26 songs popularized by Elvis Presley, premiered on Broadway in 2005, and has since become a favorite of high school, college, and regional theatres around the world. Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro (Memphis; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; Nice Work If You Can Get It) wrote the book for the musical, which is inspired by Shakespearean comedies like Twelfth Night.

To celebrate the kickoff of our 13th season, all tickets to ALL SHOOK UP will be only $13 ($10 for students and seniors). Come see our award-winning troupe of talented teens as they rock and roll to the music of Elvis Presley in this fun-filled, song-filled, dance-filled musical comedy.

Dates: Saturday, February 1 at 8pm; Sunday, February 2 at 2pm; Thursday, February 6 at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 8 at 8pm; and Sunday, February 9 at 2pm and 6pm. Performances will be held at the Riverdale YM-YWHA, located at 5625 Arlington Avenue, just off of Riverdale Avenue, in Riverdale, Bronx. Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
