Photo Flash: In Rehearsal with Titan Theatre's THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE - Reese Madigan and More!

Titan Theatre Company's rehearsals are underway for their World Premiere production of Angela Iannone's This Prison Where I Live, starring Broadway actor Reese Madigan. The production has a limited week long NYC engagement and is set to open January 22nd, with performances through January 26th at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City. "The cast is now deep into rehearsal for this exciting World Premiere. I could not be happier or more thrilled for Angela's work to be TITAN's first venture outside of Shakespeare. However, TITAN fans shouldn't be worried about not getting their Shakespeare fix with this production. The play is set during Edwin's run of RICHARD II at the McVicker in 1879. So there is plenty of Shakespeare's text within the play itself." said TITAN Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. "This is the perfect compliment to our season. After our excellent run of 'MIDSUMMER'in this past Fall, THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE is a perfect choice to keep the ball rolling and to continue building excitement for our much anticipated production of KING LEAR this Spring."

Joining Madigan (Holiday, Abe Lincoln in Illinois) as Edwin Booth are Titan company member Tristan Colton as John Wilkes Booth and Titan alums Tressa Preston as Mary McVicker, Susan Maris as Mary Delvin and Jake Russo as Mark Grey. Playwright Iannone will also direct.

This Prison Where I Live, the second play in Iannone's Edwin Booth Trilogy, "transports audiences to Edwin Booth's 1879 run of William Shakespeare's Richard II at the McVicker Theatre in Chicago where stirring drama unfolds as the ghost of Booth's infamous brother, assassin John Wilkes Booth, pays a visit to Edwin at the McVicker," according to press notes.

Titan presented a sold-out reading of the first play in Iannone's trilogy, The Edwin Booth Company Presents, at the Player's in New York City in January 2013.

Other members of the creative team include Alan Piotrowicz (lighting design), Jesse Michael Mothershed (assistant director), Jasmine Roberts (set design), Liz Lundberg (scenic artist), Jessica Wallin (props design) and Katherine White (stage management). Titan managing director Kevin Beebee produces.
