Photo Flash: The Four King Cousins Celebrate Reunion Concert in Los Angeles

The Four King Cousins made a triumphant return to the concert stage, after a three decade absence, before a sold-out audience at LA's famed Catalina Jazz Club. Glamorously gowned for their entrance, the vocal quartet opened the evening with a high energy medley of Carole King's "Music" and Neil Sedaka's "That's When The Music Takes Me" which showcased their intricate four part harmonies. The group, whose new CD compilation More Today Than Yesterday is available now, performed a 90 minute set featuring songs from their new album, including "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love," plus standards from the Great American Songbook including a stunning and heartfelt rendition of "You Made Me Love You," and "I'll Get By" an early hit by their Grammy nominated mothers, The King Sisters, which the group performed acpella to the delight of concertgoers.

The multimedia showcase included video clips from the quartets performance on ABC's The King Family Show, and on the King Family's musical TV specials, highlighting their work with a variety of artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Jonathan Winters. A stunning centerpiece of the concert was a 7 minute medley showcasing the singers and songwriters of the 1960's and 1970's including Carole King, Neil Diamond, Jimmy Webb and others, built around Paul Williams' classic "Just An Old Fashioned Love Song." The medley elicited the second standing ovation of the evening.

Lead singer Tina Cole numerously recalled her five season's on the classic sitcom My Three Sons, and solo'd beautifully on Jimmy Webb's "MacArthur Park" before the group saluted Marilyn and Alan Bergman with a sumptuous performance of their seldom heard "Come Love."

Making a costume change for the second half of the show, the quartet took to the stage with a tribute to their Mother's featuring Big Band era hits including "Route 66" and "In the Mood," which segued into a virtual duet with The King Sisters joining via video to harmonize on their Grammy nominated rendition of "Imagination."
The quartet performed BrIan Wilson's "God Only Knows" from their debut Capitol Records' release "Introducing the Four King Cousins," before being joined by 15 members of The King Family for a standout rendition of The King Sisters' stellar "Blues" medley.

The group's soaring "Gospel" medley began with a lovely solo by Cathy Cole Green on "Someone is Standing Outside," and featured step-out performances which allowed each singer to shine on her own including Carolyn Cameron's rafter-raising "Mighty Clouds of Joy," Candy Conkling Brand's soulful "Lean On Me," and Tina Cole's powerful "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)."
The Four King Cousins closed their set with Jimmy Webb's "Last Song," eliciting cheers from an star-studded audience which included legendary fashion icon Bob Mackie and broadcasting titan Larry King.
