Balagan Theatre and Artistic Director Louis Hobson's high-profile production of CARRIE the musical closed Saturday, but will live on in an original Squigs caricature featuring Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Keaton Whittaker (A Little Night Music), Kendra Kassebaum (Wicked), Larissa Schmitz, Kody Bringman, Tessa Archer and Andrew Brewer (Cougar, the Musical). The award-winning Balagan Theatre, featured last week in the New York Times, has quickly become a nationally recognized regional company known for presenting exciting local theatre with national reach, and featuring Seattle's finest artists alongside some of Broadway's best and brightest.

This winter, Balagan will present a double-header holiday premiere event, A Very Merry (Unauthorized) Scientology Pageant andThankskilling the Musical (November 22-December 21), followed by Jerry Springer: The Opera (January 10-26, 2014, co-production with Seattle Theatre Group), and the Cobain-meets-Chekhov musical play, Nirvanov (March 6-22, 2014, co-presented with ACT Theatre) to close the mainstage season.
