Photo Flash: THE PRODUCERS Publicity Photos Revealed Manila, Philippines, October 7, 2013--Repertory Philippines presents its 76th theater season's closing production, Tony Award-winning musical "The Producers," which opens on Friday, November 15 at Onstage Theater in Greenbelt 1, Makati City.

Written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan with songs arranged by Glen Kelly and Doug Besterman, "The Producers" is bound to leave you in stitches.

Based on the 1968 Brooks' film, starring Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, "The Producers" made its theatrical debut in 2001 at St. James Theatre, starring Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane. The play won an unprecedented 12 Tony Awards; it had a Broadway run of 2,502 performances; a successful London run; a U.S. National tour; multiple productions worldwide; and a screen remake in 2005 starring Broderick and Lane.

"The Producers" is about two wily and cunning Broadway producers who plan to get wealthy by overselling interests in a Broadway flop by getting the worst possible script; the worst possible actor; but using the best and their own brand of sensationalizing their production for what it is not.

The play stars Carlo Orosa and Robie Zialcita as Max Bialystock, the beleaguered producer in the brink of bankruptcy; Topper Fabregas as Leopold "Leo" Bloom, a hapless accountant who joins Max in this entertainingly web of deceit; G Tongi as Ulla, the Marilyn Monroe-like Swedish bombshell and secretary/receptionist of Max and Leo; Joel Trinidad as former Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind, whose play "Springtime for Hitler" is chosen by Max and Leo to be their certified flop to produce; Noel Trinidad and Audie Gemora as Roger De Bris, a crossdressing director; and Noel Rayos as Roger's "common law" assistant Carmen Ghia. Other cast members include Nelsito Gomez, Steven Conde, Tristan Cheng, Jay Pangilinan, Chino Veguillas, Leroy de Guzman, Natalie Everett, David Shawn Delgado, Liesl Batucan, Mica Pineda, Shalee Vicencio and Gemini Quintos.

The creative/artistic and production team includes Baby Barredo (artistic director), Jaime del Mundo (director), Onyl Torres (musical director), Mio Infante (set designer), Natalie Everett (choreographer), John Batalla (lighting designer), Gidget Tolentino (production manager), Goldie T. Soon (stage manager), Pol Roxas (sound technician), Pablito Salvador (lighting technician) and Adul Lasin (set execution and scenic artist).
