On September 27, hip-hop legends the Beastie Boys, boxing legend Larry Holmes and Knicks great Larry Johnson visited Madison Square Garden to donate memorabilia that will be featured in The Garden's new Signature Suite Level that will debut in late October as part of the third and final phase of the Arena's top-to-bottom Transformation. The Signature Suites Lobby will feature memorabilia from people and events that have left their "signature" on The Garden. The Beastie Boys donated green track suits that they wore during a 2004 concert at The Garden that was also filmed by audience members for the concert film "Awesome; I... Shot That!"; Larry Holmes donated a pair of autographed boxing gloves and a signed photo from his famous fight against Mike Weaver at The Garden; Larry Johnson donated the pair of autographed sneakers he wore during the infamous 4-point play.

The Madison Square Garden Company President & CEO Hank Ratner accepted these incredible artifacts on behalf of the company while providing the group a first look at the new Chase Square lobby set to be unveiled later this month. The historic, three-year $1 billion Transformation of Madison Square Garden will be completed this fall, fans will get their first look on October 25 when the Knicks take on the Charlotte Bobcats in their final preseason game.
