Just last night, Stephen Oremus (Kinky Boots' Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Orchestrator) moderated a conversation between Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics) and Billy Porter about the Kinky Boots Original Broadway Cast Recording, and creating the music behind the smash hit musical. BroadwayWorld was there for the special event and you can check out photo coverage below!

Kinky Boots is the six-time Tony Award-winning musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy and Tony Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics). Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots began performances on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), and opened on Thursday, April 4, 2013, where it's playing to standing-room-only crowds nightly.

Kinky Boots recently took home six 2013 Tony Awards, the most of any show this season, including Best Musical, Best Score (Cyndi Lauper), Best Choreography (Jerry Mitchell), Best Actor (Billy Porter), Best Orchestrations (Stephen Oremus), and Best Sound Design (John Shivers). The show also received the Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Broadway.com Awards for Best Musical, along with many other accolades.
