Photo Flash: Sherman, Zialcita and Trinidad Lead Cast of BLUEBIRD OF HAPPINESS

Manila, Philippines, July 18, 2013--Seasoned thespians Lynn Sherman ("The Lynn Sherman Show," "Rent"), Robie Zialcita ("Peter Pan," "Sweeney Todd") and Joel Trinidad ("Defending the Caveman," "The Graduate") lead the cast of theater company Trumpets' new original musical, "The Bluebird of Happiness," based on Belgian playwright Maurice Maeterlinck's 1908 play "The Blue Bird."

Publicity photos below, taken by Jovel Lorenzo, reveal Sherman, Zialcita and Trinidad in character: Sherman plays Tylette, the pet cat of child protagonists Mytyl and Tyltyl; Zialcita plays Tylo, the pet dog of Mytyl and Tyltyl; and Trinidad plays Night, the antagonist in the story.

This musical theater adaptation of Maeterlinck's "The Blue Bird," which features book and lyrics by Jaime del Mundo ("The Little Mermaid," "N.O.A.H.") and music by Rony Fortich ("N.O.A.H." "Stages of Love"), tells the story of two poor children Mytyl and Tyltyl and their search for the true "bluebird of happiness."

Child actors Alessa Zialcita and Chimmi Kohchet-Chua play Mytyl; Anton Posadas ("The King and I") and Guido Gatmaytan play Tyltyl.
