Photo Flash: HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER Performs for THE RIDE

The stars of Off-Broadway's hit comedy How To Be a New Yorker performed live for THE RIDE on May 8th in Times Square. As the giant tour bus approached the Lyceum Theatre on 45th Street, it stopped in front of How To Be a New Yorker's Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle clad in elderly garb on the sidewalk. To the delight of the passengers, they performed the opening sketch of the show in which two altkakas bitterly (and hilariously) complain about a bygone New York City before gentrification wiped out all the fun. Since May 2012, THE RIDE has given RIDErs a unique New York City experience: a realistic and authentic city show/tour that offers the surprises of improv comedy, the songs and voices of Broadway, and the facts of a city sights tour. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How To Be a New Yorker.

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is produced Off-Broadway by CRC Productions and Marie B Productions. The playing schedule is Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 2 & 7:30 PM, with a running time of 65 minutes (no intermission).
