Broadway's powerful new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner and two-time Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (Cabaret, "The Good Wife"), opened on Broadway on April 21, 2013. Veteran stage actors Jenny Sterlin and Brendan Titley complete the cast. BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture the night, check out photos here from the red carpet arrivals.

Horton Foote's beloved classic, The Trip to Bountiful, starring Cicely Tyson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Williams, Condola Rashad and Tom Wopat is currently in previews at The Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Directed by Michael Wilson, The Trip to Bountiful will play a 14-week limited engagement, opening Tuesday, April 23rd. BroadwayWorld brings you photos of the cast in action here!

As Rita Wilson continued her week-long engagement at 54 Below, a starry audience came to cheer her on. Attendees included Elvis Costello, Rosie O'Donnell, Julianne Moore, Kristin Chenoweth, Allison Williams, BrIan Williams, Jane Stoddard Williams, Kathy Najimy, Natasha Lyonne, Bart Freundlich, Bryan Cranston, Peter Scolariand and more. It was another starry night earlier in Wilson's run at 54 Below on April 15 when Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Chris Botti, George C. Wolfe, Brenda Braxton, Trudie Styler and Wendy Diamond were in attendance. Go to here to see more pictures!

Award-winning stage and screen actress Fiona Shaw returned to Broadway, April 22, for the opening of The Testament of Mary, by the acclaimed author Colm Tóibín, directed by Deborah Warner. The production will run for a twelve-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 16, at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Check out photos from the opening here!

It was a reunion of cast members of The Mystery of Edwin Drood , April 22, as Chita Rivera and Stephanie J. Block celebrated with Robert Creighton post-show at his 54 Below debut. Go here for a photo of the group! Creighton's show "Ain't We Got Fun!" lived up to its name as the actor tapped, whistled, blew his trumpet and sang his way through his original songs and standards from the early decades of the 20th Century. The cherries on top were guest artists Tituss Burgess and Heidi Blickenstaff.

Appearing on Broadway for the first time in 30 years, Tony and Grammy Award-winning superstar Bette Midler plays the legendary Hollywood agent Sue Mengers (1932-2011) in the new, one-character play.

Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's beloved coming-of-age musical comedy Pippin opened last night, April 25, 2013, at Broadway's Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). This all-new production is directed by Diane Paulus featuring choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers).
