Joining Edward Watts (Superman) in the New York City Center Encores! production of It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman was Jenny Powers as Lois Lane and David Pittu as the evil Dr. Sedgwick, along with Alli Mauzey, Adam Monley, James Saito and Will Swenson. The Los Angeles based Festival of New American Musicals was formed specifically to cultivate new American musicals and nurture America's musical youth. SHOWSEARCH, the Festival's nation-wide search for the best ten minute musical written by 16-to-25-year-olds crowned its winners March 23rd in Los Angeles at the Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, in cooperation with the LAUSD. Go here to see more photos from the festivities!

ONCE's Steve Kazee, Cristin Milioti, Will Connolly and Elizabeth A. Davis, from the original cast, played their final performance on March 24, 2013. Beginning this week Ben Hope took over as "Guy," Laura Dreyfuss as "Girl," Carlos Valdes as "Andrej" and Claire Wellin as "Réza". Hunter Ryan Herdlicka just made his 54 Below debut after almost two years starring on Broadway in the Tony Award Winning revival of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, playing opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, followed by Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch. On March 25, Hunter performed his new show "You Make Me Feel So Young" that recently played to sold-out crowds at the Austin Cabaret Theatre in Austin, TX. Broadway's Annie, Lilla Crawford, celebrated her 12th birthday at Times Square's new Cake Boss Café, inspired by the hit TLC show, "Cake Boss"earlier this week. In attendance to celebrate Lilla's birthday were her fellow young Broadway stars Alex Drier (The Assembled Party, Billy Elliot), Lewis Grasso (Newsies, Ragtime), Jack Broderick (Billy Elliot, Matilda), Ava DiMary (Billy Elliot, Matilda), Emma Howard (Matilda), Sadie Sink (ANNIE, Tuck Everlasting), and many more. MASTERWORKS BROADWAY will soon release the Original Cast Recording of Kinky Boots, produced by Cyndi Lauper, William Wittman and Stephen Oremus. The cast was just in the recording studio and you can check out more photos from the recording session here!

On March 26th, Tim Federle, author of Better Nate Than Ever, interviewed the 19 year old author, Henry Hodges, who wrote "How To Act Like a Kid," at the Drama Book Shop. Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of The Big Knife, by Clifford Odets, is currently in previews and officially opens on April 16, 2013 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). The cast of The Big Knife features Rachel Brosnahan, Bobby Cannavale, Marin Ireland, Billy Eugene, Richard Kind, Ana Reeder, Reg Rogers, Joey Slotnick, Brenda Wehle, C.J. Wilson, Chip Zien, and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes. Go here for more production shots!

Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.
