Photo Blast from the Past: Henny Youngman

Today, we're featuring Henny Youngman circa 1988. Youngman, a British-American comedian and musician, led the jazz band the "Swanee Syncopaters" for several years. He appeared often on the Kate Smith radio show in the late '30s. In the 1940s, Youngman worked with writer and producer Danny Shapiro to record a live standup album for NRC, "The Primitive Side of Henny Youngman". He appeared on Broadway in 1942's New Priorities of 1943. Youngman appeared on television in Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, The Henny and Rocky Show and made cameo appearances in films such as History of the World, Part I, Goodfellas and Eyes Beyond Seeing. Youngman passed away in 1998.
